TEKE::TEKE is a Canadian psychedelic rock band from Montreal that blends traditional Japanese instruments, flute, and trombone with electric guitars and a pulsating rhythm section. Formed in 2017 as a tribute to Japanese guitarist Takeshi Terauchi, the group evolved into an original project with their own material. Their debut album, "Shirushi," was released in 2021, followed by "Hagata" in 2023. TEKE::TEKE's music is influenced by genres such as eleki, enka, experimental rock, and art rock, creating a sound reminiscent of 1960s and 70s Japanese film soundtracks with a modern twist.
