Teodor Currentzis is a Greek conductor renowned for his innovative interpretations of classical music. Born in Athens, he studied at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory under Ilya Musin. In 2004, he founded the musicAeterna orchestra and choir in Novosibirsk, with whom he regularly performs on leading European stages. His notable recordings include Mozart's operas such as "Le nozze di Figaro," "Così fan tutte," and "Don Giovanni." Currentzis also serves as the Artistic Director of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre and as the Chief Conductor of the SWR Symphony Orchestra in Stuttgart.
