Tesla is an American hard rock band from Sacramento, California, formed in 1984. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Jeff Keith, guitarists Frank Hannon and Tommy Skeoch, bassist Brian Wheat, and drummer Troy Luccketta. Their 1986 debut album, "Mechanical Resonance," achieved platinum status, featuring hits like "Modern Day Cowboy" and "Little Suzi." The 1989 follow-up, "The Great Radio Controversy," included the successful single "Love Song." In 1990, they released the acoustic live album "Five Man Acoustical Jam," which featured a cover of "Signs." Throughout their career, Tesla has sold over 14 million albums in the United States.
