The Action was a British rock band from Kentish Town, London, active between 1963 and 1968. Originally known as The Boys, they changed their name to The Action in 1964. Their music blended elements of soul, R&B, and psychedelic rock. Although they did not release a studio album during their active years, they issued several singles under producer George Martin, including "Shadows and Reflections" and "Never Ever". After disbanding in 1968, some members continued their musical careers in other projects, such as Mighty Baby. In the 1980s, their recordings were reissued, gaining recognition for their contribution to the 1960s British music scene. The products available from the artist The Action include CDs.
