The Apartments are an Australian indie rock band formed in 1978 in Brisbane. Led by Peter Milton Walsh, the band's sole constant member, they released their debut album, "The Evening Visits...and Stays for Years," in 1985 under Rough Trade. Other notable albums include "Drift" (1992) and "A Life Full of Farewells" (1995). Their music encompasses genres such as indie rock, jangle pop, and chamber pop.
