The Band was a Canadian-American rock group formed in Toronto in 1957. Original members included Rick Danko (bass guitar, vocals), Garth Hudson (keyboards), Richard Manuel (piano, vocals), Robbie Robertson (guitar), and Levon Helm (drums, vocals). The group blended elements of country, folk, rock, and R&B. Notable albums include "Music from Big Pink" (1968) and "The Band" (1969). They collaborated with Bob Dylan on his 1965–66 tours and "The Basement Tapes." In 1994, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
