The Books were an American-Dutch experimental music duo consisting of guitarist and vocalist Nick Zammuto and cellist Paul de Jong. Active from 2000 to 2012, they were known for their unique style that combined acoustic instruments with found sound samples. They released four studio albums: "Thought for Food" (2002), "The Lemon of Pink" (2003), "Lost and Safe" (2005), and "The Way Out" (2010). Their music is often classified as folktronica, indie electronic, and post-rock. After disbanding in 2012, Zammuto pursued a solo project under the name Zammuto, while de Jong continued his solo career. The products available from the artist The Books include CDs.
