The Brand New Heavies is a British band formed in 1985 in London. Originally an instrumental acid jazz ensemble comprising Simon Bartholomew, Andrew Levy, and Jan Kincaid, they later added vocalist N'Dea Davenport. Their 1990 debut album featured tracks like "Dream Come True" and "Never Stop". In 1994, they released "Brother Sister", which reached number 4 on the UK Albums Chart. The 1997 album "Shelter" included hits "Sometimes" and "You Are the Universe". The band was nominated for the Brit Awards in the British Dance Act category in 1995 and 1998.
