The Calling is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1996 by vocalist Alex Band and guitarist Aaron Kamin. Their 2001 debut album, "Camino Palmero," features the single "Wherever You Will Go," which topped the Adult Top 40 chart for 23 weeks. Their second album, "Two," released in 2004, includes the single "Our Lives," used during the closing ceremonies of the 2004 Summer Olympics. The band collaborated with Carlos Santana on the song "Why Don't You and I." After several hiatuses and lineup changes, Alex Band remains the leading member of the group.
