The Dubliners are an Irish folk band formed in 1962 in Dublin. Originally known as The Ronnie Drew Ballad Group, they are renowned for their energetic performances of traditional Irish songs. Their most notable tracks include "Seven Drunken Nights" and "The Black Velvet Band," both of which charted in the UK in 1967. Their music, often featuring political themes, has influenced numerous other bands, such as The Pogues and Dropkick Murphys. Throughout their career, they released 19 studio albums and 13 live albums, significantly contributing to the international popularity of Irish folk music.
