The Ethiopians were a Jamaican music group founded in the mid-1960s by Leonard Dillon, Stephen Taylor, and Aston Morris. They were instrumental in the transition from ska to rocksteady and later contributed to the development of reggae. Notable albums include "Engine 54" (1968), "Reggae Power" (1969), and "Woman Capture Man" (1970). Their 1966 hit "Train to Skaville" gained international recognition. The group was known for socially conscious lyrics and had a significant influence on the Rastafarian community. Leonard Dillon continued his musical career until his death in 2011.
