The Gaylads are a Jamaican vocal group formed in 1963 in Kingston. The original lineup consisted of Harris "B.B." Seaton, Winston Delano Stewart, and Maurice Roberts. Active during the rocksteady and reggae eras, they recorded for prominent labels such as Studio One and Beverley's. Their notable songs include "Lady in the Red Dress," "Africa," and "There's a Fire." Their 1967 album "Soul Beat" is considered a genre classic. The Gaylads also collaborated with artists like Ken Boothe and Delroy Wilson. In 2007, they were honored in the International Reggae World Music Hall of Fame for their contributions to reggae music.
