The Gun Club was an American punk band formed in Los Angeles in 1979 by Jeffrey Lee Pierce. The group was known for its unique fusion of punk, blues, and rockabilly, resulting in a distinctive sound. Their debut album, "Fire of Love" (1981), is considered a classic of the punk blues genre. This was followed by "Miami" (1982) and "The Las Vegas Story" (1984), which further solidified their influence on the music scene. The band remained active until Pierce's death in 1996. Their music has influenced numerous artists and remains a significant part of alternative rock history.
