The Heath Brothers was an American jazz group formed in 1975 in Philadelphia by brothers Jimmy (tenor saxophone), Percy (double bass), and Albert "Tootie" Heath (drums), along with pianist Stanley Cowell. The group released several albums, including "Marchin' On" (1975), "Passin' Thru" (1978), and "Expressions of Life" (1980). Their music combined traditional jazz with modern elements. After Percy Heath's death in 2005, Jimmy and Tootie continued performing and recording with other musicians. Jimmy Heath passed away in 2020, and Tootie Heath in 2024.
