The Horrors are an English rock band formed in 2005 in Southend-on-Sea. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Faris Badwan, guitarist Joshua Hayward, keyboardist Tom Furse, bassist Rhys Webb, and drummer Joe Spurgeon. Their music encompasses genres such as gothic rock, post-punk revival, shoegaze, and indie rock. Their debut album, "Strange House" (2007), reached number 37 on the UK Albums Chart. Their second album, "Primary Colours" (2009), was nominated for the Mercury Prize and reached number 25 on the UK Albums Chart. This was followed by "Skying" (2011), "Luminous" (2014), and "V" (2017), all of which charted within the UK Top 40. In 2025, they released the album "Night Life".
