The Hylozoists are a Canadian instrumental rock supergroup formed in 2001 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, by producer and multi-instrumentalist Paul Aucoin. Their debut album, "La Nouvelle Gauche," was recorded in Halifax, followed by "La Fin du Monde" in 2006 and "L'île de Sept Villes" in 2009. Their music combines classical instruments like vibraphone, glockenspiel, organ, violin, and viola with traditional rock instruments, creating a unique sound.
