The Long Blondes were an English indie rock band formed in Sheffield in 2003. The group consisted of Kate Jackson (vocals), Dorian Cox (guitar and keyboards), Reenie Hollis (bass guitar), Emma Chaplin (rhythm guitar and keyboards), and Screech Louder (drums). Their debut album, "Someone to Drive You Home," was released in November 2006 under Rough Trade Records and produced by Steve Mackey of Pulp. The album features singles such as "Weekend Without Makeup" and "Once and Never Again." In 2008, they released their second album, "Couples," produced by Erol Alkan. The band disbanded in October 2008 following guitarist Dorian Cox's health issues. In 2021, Jackson and Cox reunited as a duo.
