The Louvin Brothers, an American country duo from Alabama, comprised brothers Ira and Charlie Louvin. Active from 1940 to 1963, they were known for their close harmonies and blend of country, bluegrass, and gospel music. Notable albums include "Tragic Songs of Life" (1956) and "Satan Is Real" (1959). Their song "The Christian Life" was later popularized by The Byrds. In 2001, they were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
