The Love Affair was a British pop and soul group formed in 1966 in London. Their debut single, "Everlasting Love," released in 1967, reached number one on the UK charts. Other notable hits include "Rainbow Valley" and "A Day Without Love." After the departure of lead singer Steve Ellis in 1969, the band continued with new vocalist Gus Eadon and released the album "New Day" in 1970. The group disbanded in 1971.
