The Merchants of Venus is a Norwegian rock band formed in 1993 by American guitarist and producer Charles Normal, Guns N' Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed, and members of the Norwegian band Sister Rain, Aslak Nygren and Rune Annaniassen. Their debut album, "Wish Across the Land," was released in 1994 and includes tracks like "Postcards from Heaven" and "Morning Glory." The band is known for their rock and pop rock sound. During the recording of the album, they collaborated with various musicians, including Ivar Eidem and Lars Pedersen. In 1994, during their tour, the band disbanded following the death of bassist Rune Annaniassen.
