The Nice was a British rock band formed in 1967. The group was known for its innovative fusion of rock, jazz, and classical music, making it one of the pioneers of progressive rock. Their debut album, "The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjack," released in 1967, is considered one of the first progressive rock albums. Other notable albums include "Ars Longa Vita Brevis" (1968) and "Five Bridges" (1970). The band disbanded in 1970 when keyboardist Keith Emerson left to form Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
