Otis Redding was an American singer and songwriter known for his contributions to soul music. He released six studio albums and more than two dozen singles during his career. His most notable songs include "Respect" (1965) and "Try a Little Tenderness" (1966). In 1967, he released the duet album "King & Queen" with Carla Thomas. Redding posthumously received two Grammy Awards for "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
