The Rationals were an American rock band from Ann Arbor, Michigan, active from 1964 to 1970. Known for their R&B-influenced rock style, they achieved regional success with their cover of Otis Redding's "Respect," which reached number 92 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1966. Their sole full-length album, "The Rationals," was released in 1970 on Crewe Records. After the band's dissolution, lead singer Scott Morgan continued his musical career with various Detroit-area groups, including Sonic's Rendezvous Band. In 2010, The Rationals were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends online Hall of Fame. The products available from the artist The Rationals include CDs.
