The Riflebirds of Portland is an American rock band formed in 1985 in Portland, Oregon. Originally known as The Riflebirds, the band released a cassette album titled "April" in 1989, produced by Marvin Etzioni. After disbanding, members pursued various careers: Lee Oser became a professor of English literature, Kate Oser a children's librarian, Kevin Kraft worked in Silicon Valley, and Kevin Jarvis became a successful drummer in Los Angeles. In 2024, the original lineup reunited under the name The Riflebirds of Portland and recorded the album "Windmills on the Moon," released in August 2025. The album was mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London.
