The Softies is an American indie pop duo from Portland, Oregon, consisting of Rose Melberg and Jen Sbragia. Formed in 1994 as a side project for both artists, they have released four studio albums: "It's Love" (1995), "Winter Pageant" (1997), "Holiday in Rhode Island" (2000), and "The Bed I Made" (2024). Their music is characterized by a minimalist approach, primarily utilizing two electric guitars and harmonized vocals. The Softies were active from 1994 to 2000, with occasional reunions in 2012, 2018, and 2023. In 2024, they released their first album in 24 years and embarked on a North American tour.
