The Soviet Machines are a three-piece rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 2006 by singer/guitarist Jack Swagger and drummer Marcus Jones. After two independent releases, the group disbanded in 2009. In 2020, they reunited with bassist Rich Salsbury and began working on new material. In September of that year, they traveled to Seattle to collaborate with producer Jack Endino, known for his work with Nirvana and Soundgarden. The resulting self-titled album was released in January 2021 by DC-Jam Records. The album features tracks such as "Get Your Kicks" and "You Should Kill Me".
