The Sweet is a British glam rock band formed in London in 1968. The original lineup consisted of Brian Connolly (vocals), Steve Priest (bass), Andy Scott (guitar), and Mick Tucker (drums). The band achieved success in the 1970s with hits like "Block Buster!", "The Ballroom Blitz", and "Fox on the Run". Their musical style evolved from bubblegum pop to a harder rock sound. After Connolly's departure in 1979, the band disbanded in 1981. Various versions of the band led by original members emerged later. The Sweet have sold over 35 million albums worldwide.
