The Tallis Scholars is a British professional vocal ensemble specializing in a cappella sacred music. Founded in 1973 by Peter Phillips, the group focuses on Renaissance polyphony. They have released over 60 recordings under their own label, Gimell Records. In 1987, they received the Gramophone Record of the Year award for their recording of Josquin's masses.
