The Wailers are a Jamaican reggae band formed in 1963 by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer. Initially known as The Teenagers, they later became The Wailing Wailers and finally The Wailers. The group gained fame with hits like "Simmer Down" and "Trenchtown Rock". After Tosh and Wailer departed in 1974, Marley continued with a new lineup that included the vocal group I-Threes. The Wailers released iconic albums such as "Catch a Fire" and "Exodus". Following Marley's death in 1981, the band continued as The Wailers Band, led by bassist Aston "Familyman" Barrett.
