The Yardbirds are an English rock band formed in London in 1963. The band is known for launching the careers of three notable guitarists: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. Their most famous hits include "For Your Love," "Heart Full of Soul," and "Shapes of Things." Originally a blues-based band, they later expanded into psychedelic rock and contributed to many electric guitar innovations in the mid-1960s. After disbanding in 1968, members pursued various musical paths, with Page forming Led Zeppelin. The band reunited in the 1990s with original drummer Jim McCarty.
