Thergothon was a Finnish doom metal band formed in 1990 in Kaarina. Considered pioneers of funeral doom metal, they released their sole studio album, "Stream from the Heavens," in 1994. Their music was characterized by slow tempos, heavy guitar riffs, and a bleak atmosphere.
