Third Day was an American Christian rock band formed in 1991 in Marietta, Georgia. The band was founded by lead singer Mac Powell and guitarist Mark Lee. Their second studio album, "Conspiracy No. 5," released in 1997, won the Dove Award for Rock Album of the Year and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album. The band was known for its alternative rock style with grunge influences and lyrics focusing on the sinful nature of humanity and the need for redemption.
