Throatsnapper is a Belgian sludge/doom metal band from Antwerp, formed in 2013. Initially operating as a trio under the name "Bagger," they later expanded to a quartet. In 2015, they released their first demo titled "Throatsnapper," featuring heavy, distorted riffs and minimal vocals, creating a dark atmosphere. Their debut album, "About the Dead," was released in 2019, comprising six tracks focusing on themes of grief. In 2024, they released "About Life," marking an evolution in their sound with the aim of capturing a raw, live ambiance. The album was recorded at Acheron Studio, mixed at Celestial Event Studio in Antwerp, and mastered by Chris Fielding. The products available from the artist Throatsnapper include vinyls.
