Throbbing Gristle was an English music and visual arts group formed in 1975 in Kingston upon Hull. Regarded as pioneers of industrial music, their work included albums such as "The Second Annual Report" (1977), "D.o.A: The Third and Final Report of Throbbing Gristle" (1978), and "20 Jazz Funk Greats" (1979). Their music combined experimental sounds, electronics, and provocative lyrics. After disbanding in 1981, members pursued projects like Psychic TV, Coil, and Chris & Cosey. The group reunited between 2004 and 2010, during which they released additional albums and continued to explore the boundaries of musical expression.
