Timuçin Şahin is a Turkish jazz guitarist and composer, recognized for his unique style on the fretless electric guitar and innovative compositions. He studied jazz guitar at Hilversum Conservatory and classical composition at Amsterdam Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music. In 2001, he won first prize at the Dutch Jazz Competition. His 2009 album "Bafa" is regarded as one of the most unique contemporary jazz recordings. He has collaborated with artists such as Randy Brecker, Greg Osby, and Donny McCaslin. His music blends elements of Indian scales, African rhythms, and Western jazz improvisation.
