In 1988, he released his first solo album, "Georgia Blue," under Alligator Records. Ellis is known for his energetic performances and virtuoso guitar playing. Notable albums include "Storm Warning" (1994), "Midnight Blue" (2014), and "Ice Cream in Hell" (2020).
