Tito Rodríguez, born Pablo Rodríguez Lozada on January 4, 1923, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, was a prominent Puerto Rican singer and bandleader. In the 1940s, he moved to New York City, where he worked as a percussionist in various rhumba ensembles before forming his own successful band in the 1950s. His most prolific period coincided with the peak of the mambo and cha-cha-cha dance craze. In 1962, he released the album "Let's Do the Bossa Nova" under United Artists Records. Rodríguez is known for his hit "Inolvidable," a bolero composed by Cuban songwriter Julio Gutiérrez. He passed away on February 28, 1973, in New York City.
