Tom Robinson Band is a British rock group formed in 1976 by singer and bassist Tom Robinson. Their debut single, "2-4-6-8 Motorway," reached No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart in 1977. The 1978 debut album, "Power in the Darkness," is considered a significant late-1970s punk album. The band is known for politically charged lyrics and support for movements like Rock Against Racism. After releasing their second album, "TRB Two," in 1979, the band disbanded. In 1989, the original members reunited for a tour but soon parted ways again.
