Tommy Hunt was an American soul singer who began his career in the 1950s as a member of The Flamingos. With this group, he achieved success with the hit "I Only Have Eyes for You." In 1961, he embarked on a solo career, releasing "Human," which became his biggest hit in the U.S. During the 1970s, he gained popularity on the British Northern Soul scene with songs like "Crackin' Up" and "Loving on the Losing Side." Hunt was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 as a member of The Flamingos. He passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 91.
