Trae tha Truth, born Frazier Othel Thompson III, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. He began his music career in 1998, debuting with the album "Losing Composure" in 2003. Subsequent albums include "Same Thing Different Day" (2004) and "Restless" (2006). He is a member of the groups Guerilla Maab and Assholes by Nature (ABN) with Z-Ro. In 2012, he signed with Grand Hustle Records and became the label's vice president in 2017. Trae is known for his philanthropy; he founded the organizations Angel by Nature and Relief Gang, which assist communities affected by natural disasters. In 2021, he received the Billboard Change Maker Award for his humanitarian efforts.
