Transatlantic was an international progressive rock supergroup comprising Neal Morse (ex–Spock's Beard), Roine Stolt (Kaipa, The Flower Kings), Pete Trewavas (Marillion, Edison's Children), and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater). Formed in 1999 as a side project to their main bands, they released five studio albums: SMPT:e (2000), Bridge Across Forever (2001), The Whirlwind (2009), Kaleidoscope (2014), and The Absolute Universe (2021). Their music is characterized by complex compositions and lengthy tracks typical of progressive rock. Transatlantic disbanded in 2022.
