Transorient Orchestra is a German musical ensemble comprising musicians from Germany, Turkey, Iran, Tunisia, and Syria. Their music blends oriental melodies and rhythms with Western harmony and jazz improvisation. The 2021 album "Zip Zip" features nine tracks reflecting their unique style. In 2017, they received the WDR Jazz Prize in the Music Cultures category.
