Trevor Pinnock is a British harpsichordist and conductor, renowned for his pioneering approach to early music performance. In 1972, he founded The English Concert, an ensemble specializing in historically informed performances of Baroque and Classical music. His notable recordings include Bach's "Brandenburg Concertos" and "Goldberg Variations". Additionally, he served as the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa from 1991 to 1996.
