Tristeza is an American post-rock band formed in San Diego in 1997. Their debut album, "Spine and Sensory," was released in 1999, followed by "Dream Signals in Full Circles" in 2000. The band is known for their instrumental compositions and atmospheric sound. Throughout their career, they have undergone several lineup changes; founding members included Christopher Sprague, Luis Hermosillo, Jimmy LaValle, James Lehner, and Stephen Swesey. Later additions to the band were Alison Ables and Sean Ogilvie. Tristeza continues to create music and perform, influencing many in the post-rock scene.
