TRP is a Swedish heavy metal band active from 1981 to 1985. The name stands for "Tyrannosaurus Rex Prisoners." The band members were still in elementary school when they began creating and recording their music. Their fans were local teenage hard rock gangs who wore leather jackets, studded belts, and denim vests. TRP was known for wild live performances featuring homemade smoke bombs, pyrotechnics, and gallons of fake blood, which eventually led to a ban on their live shows for allegedly obscene behavior.
