Ultramagnetic MC's is an American hip-hop group from the Bronx, New York, formed in 1984. The original lineup consisted of Kool Keith, Ced Gee, TR Love, and Moe Love. In 1985, they released their first single, "To Give You Love," followed by "Ego Trippin'" in 1986, notable for using the drum break from Melvin Bliss's "Synthetic Substitution." Their 1988 debut album, "Critical Beatdown," is considered a genre classic. The group is known for unorthodox sampling, polysyllabic rhymes, and bizarre lyrical imagery.
