Uncle Slam was an American crossover thrash metal band from Los Angeles, California, active between 1987 and 1995. Influenced by 1980s punk and heavy metal bands such as Suicidal Tendencies, D.R.I., Black Flag, and Slayer, they released three studio albums: "Say Uncle" (1988), "Will Work for Food" (1993), and "When God Dies" (1995). Their music featured an aggressive style with melodic elements, and their lyrics addressed political, rebellious, and social themes. After disbanding in 1995, their work remained a significant part of the crossover thrash scene. The products available from the artist Uncle Slam include CDs.
