Uwe Steinmetz and Daniel Stickan are musical partners who have collaborated for over 14 years. Their 2022 album "Deeper Standards" explores songs in the Plattdeutsch (Low Saxon) dialect, paying homage to their cultural roots. They utilize historical instruments, such as a German harmonium and an 1881 alto saxophone, to create intimate interpretations of traditional folk songs.
