Vassago is a Swedish black/death metal band formed in 1987 in Gothenburg. Initially a solo project by guitarist Niclas "Pepa" Andersson under the name Sadist, they became Vassago after vocalist Mikael "Sin" Backelin joined. They released the demo "Nattflykt" in 1994 and their debut album "Knights from Hell" in 1999. After a hiatus, they released "Storm of Satan" in 2021. Their music is characterized by an aggressive style and dark themes, sharing members with the band Lord Belial. The products available from the artist Vassago include CDs.
