The Vaughan Brothers were a blues-rock project initiated by guitarist siblings Stephen ‚Stevie‘ Ray Vaughan and Jimmie Vaughan. Both brothers possess a storied musical history in the blues genre, with Stevie Ray particularly recognizable with his band Double Trouble. The duo released their sole album ‚Family Style‘ in 1990, earning acclaim, especially the single ‚Tick Tock‘. Their music merges elements of rock and blues. Stevie Ray, also an outstanding solo performer, tragically died in a helicopter crash in summer 1990. Jimmie Vaughan continued his solo music career, collaborating with several noteworthy artists.
